Machu Picchu

A close friend once asked me, if I could go anywhere in the world, where would I go. My immediate response? Machu Picchu. In 2012, Sean of Sean Patrick Photography granted that wish by taking me there for my bachelor weekend.

We started our adventure in Lima, the capital of Peru and continued to the historic city of Cuzo. While visiting Lake Titicaca, the largest lake in South America we had the opportunity to see the indigenous people of Peru who live on self-fashioned floating islands.  

Of course, the most memorable part of our trip was seeing Machu Picchu, which sits in the midst of a tropical mountain forest more than 7,000 feet above sea level. We arrived early enough in the morning that the mist was still present until the strong sunlight penetrated the mountain tops. It was a trip I will truly never forget, a wish granted.
